Heavy use of local wood and implementation of natural light feature in the appearance of the new pool and wellness facility.
In addition to the various stainless steel pools, the new two-story building also houses a modern wellness and relaxation area. Visitors can look forward to a large swimming pool including five lanes and a deepened area for diving. Also within are stainless steel multi-purpose pool and children’s splash pool, with slide and water features.
For those who prefer to relax, there is an extensive wellness area, equipped with a Finnish sauna, Appenzell sauna and cold water pool, as well as massage and relaxation rooms.
With the acoustic installations from artist Roswitha Gobbo, visitors are surrounded by a quiet and calming sound experience. With both local economy and ecology in mind, only wood from the canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden was utilized in the construction of the new Appenzell natatorium.
