School facilities Riedtli and Grünau, Zurich

The school swimming pools and gymnastic rooms in Zurich (Grünau and Riedtli) are an important part of Zurich’s diverse range of sports lesson offerings.

The school complexes in Zurich-Altstetten were built in 1977 and consist of the two parts school building and swimming facility with gym.

In order to meet today’s energy and hygiene requirements, the complete building services were renewed and entire facility parts were completely replaced. All ventilation ducts, heating and sanitary pipes as well as electrical terraces could be accommodated in a minimum of hollow space and are therefore not visible to the user. Furthermore, special attention was paid to sanitary equipment suitable for children. All fittings are self-closing and equipped with a scalding protection.
